Robert E. Beauchamp Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Robert "Bob" Beauchamp is chairman of the board and chief executive officer of BMC Software, the recognized leader in business service management.
After joining the company in 1988 as a sales executive, Beauchamp rose rapidly through the BMC ranks. During his tenure, he has led key business initiatives, including research and development, strategic marketing and corporate development. Named CEO in 2001, Beauchamp led BMC's highly successful transformation from a mainframe tools vendor to the company that delivers the industry's most strategic enterprise management and automation solutions, enabling customers to automate IT and prove their business value.
Beauchamp has been active and served on the boards of numerous non-profit, industry and civic organizations during his career including Baylor University and National Oilwell Varco among others.
Beauchamp holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Texas at Austin and a master's degree in management from Houston Baptist University.
Paul Avenant President of Enterprise Service Management
Paul Avenant is president of the Enterprise Service Management (ESM) business unit for BMC Software and is responsible for determining the strategy for establishing Business Service Management (BSM) as the leading platform for IT management. The ESM business portfolio includes the BMC Remedy, BMC BladeLogic, BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management and BMC ProactiveNet solution suites, supported by BMC Atrium enabling technologies. Avenant leads the ESM products, support, and sales groups with the charter to help customers reduce IT costs, increase business value, assure quality of service, manage risk and provide IT transparency.
Previously, Avenant served as senior vice president of ESM solutions and brand management and was responsible for product strategy, research and development, customer support and marketing. Under his leadership, BMC Atrium was developed and established as the service driven architecture of BSM.
Avenant joined BMC in 2004 after spending nearly nine years at Hewlett-Packard. He has more than 20 years of experience, including numerous leadership roles in the network, systems and service management market segments.
William D. Miller President, Mainframe Service Management
Bill Miller serves as president of Mainframe Service Management (MSM) business unit. This business continues to provide the revenue stream and the technology the company needs to support the development of innovative new offerings, and provide solutions in the area of Business Service Management (BSM), while continuing to keep pace with the latest systems, data and operations technologies.
Miller joined BMC Software in July 15, 2002, from BindView Development, where he had served as senior vice president and chief operating officer. Subsequent to joining BindView, Miller spent 21 years at IBM, where he held a variety of positions including in sales, marketing and general management.
Miller received a Bachelor of Science Engineering degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Dallas.
Kia Behnia Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
Kia Behnia is senior vice president and chief technology officer for BMC Software. Behnia is a recognized luminary in the IT industry and brings his considerable expertise to determining BMC's vision and direction across its entire portfolio of solutions, including mainframe, IT service management, virtualization management and cloud computing. Additionally, Behnia leads BMC's marketing and communications organization, thus ensuring that BMC's marketing and communications activities directly align to the vision and objectives of the company.
Under Behnia's leadership, BMC has developed industry-leading cloud management solutions and continues to drive innovation for businesses that need to implement a cloud computing strategy. Behnia also represents BMC as a commissioner for the Commission on the Leadership Opportunity in U.S. Deployment of the Cloud (CLOUD2). Further, he has been instrumental in developing BMC's Business Service Management into a world-class technology platform. During his tenure at BMC, Behnia has also served as BMC's chief corporate architect and held the role of chief technology officer (CTO) for the change and configuration products.
Behnia joined BMC in 2004 through the acquisition of Marimba Inc., where he served as CTO. He has more than 19 years of experience in enterprise service, infrastructure and application management. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of California at Davis.
Ken Berryman Senior Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development
Ken Berryman is the Senior Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development for BMC Software, Inc. In this role Berryman is responsible for BMC's corporate strategy, global alliances, and M&A activities. He joined the company in September of 2010.
Prior to joining BMC, Berryman served in several roles at Symantec Corporation, most recently as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Emerging Businesses. In this capacity, he led a number of acquisitions for Symantec, including the acquisition of PGP and VeriSign's authentication businesses. He also spent time as the leader of Symantec's NetBackup product group, and drove the development of Symantec's endpoint virtualization products. Before Symantec, Berryman was a partner at McKinsey & Company, where he led the firm's North American software practice and worked with clients across a range of technology sectors.
Berryman holds a Ph.D. in physics from Stanford University, and an undergraduate degree from Harvard University.
T. Cory Bleuer Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer
T. Cory Bleuer joined BMC Software, Inc. in August 2006 as Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer.
Bleuer has extensive finance and accounting experience in the enterprise software industry, most recently serving as the Vice President and Controller of EMC Corporation's Captiva Software group, a position he assumed following EMC's acquisition of Captiva Software Corporation where he was Vice President and Corporate Controller. Bleuer previously served in the roles of Corporate Controller and Director, Corporate Finance with Fair Isaac Corporation, following Fair Isaac's acquisition of HNC Software, Inc. where he was Corporate Controller. Earlier in his career, Bleuer was Corporate Controller for NeoPoint, Inc. and was an experienced Audit and Business Advisory Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP.
Bleuer holds a Bachelor of Science - Business Administration, Accounting concentration, from Indiana University and holds a CPA certificate issued by the State of Georgia. Bleuer is a member of Financial Executives International (FEI).
Hollie Castro is the Senior Vice President, Administration for BMC Software, Inc. In this role, Castro is responsible for managing the company's Global Human Resources, Community and Government Relations and Global Real Estate activities.
Castro joined BMC Software in September 2009 from Talisman-Energy, where she was the Senior Vice President of Corporate Services. Prior to joining Talisman-Energy, she was the Vice President, Human Resources at Cisco Systems and served in various Human Resource roles at General Electric. Additionally, she founded a coaching and consulting company, Global Rainmakers, which specializes in acceleration coaching for Generation X/Y professionals, leveraging technology and cohort learning.
Castro holds an MBA from Thunderbird University, which focuses on international experiences and her undergraduate degree is from Marlboro College. Castro is fluent in a number of languages, including Italian, Portuguese, French and Spanish.
Steve Goddard Senior Vice President, Business Operations
Steve Goddard is senior vice president, business operations for BMC Software, Inc.
Goddard served as the vice president of assurance from April 2007 until being named senior vice president, business operations in November 2008. He served as the senior director of internal controls from September 2005 to March 2007 and joined BMC Software, Inc. in July 2003 as the director of IT governance.
Prior to joining BMC Software, Inc., Goddard was with Arthur Andersen for twenty-five years, serving in various leadership positions including the gulf coast managing partner.
Goddard received a Bachelors in Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Stephen B. Solcher Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Stephen B. Solcher is senior vice president, chief financial officer for BMC Software.
Solcher served as interim chief financial officer and treasurer of BMC Software from August 2005 until he was named senior vice president and chief financial officer in December 2005. Previously, Solcher served as vice president of Finance and treasurer from 2000 to 2005 and corporate treasurer from 1992 to 2000. Solcher joined BMC Software in 1991 as assistant treasurer.
Prior to joining BMC Software, Inc., Solcher was an experienced audit manager with Arthur Andersen & Co.
Solcher also serves as a member of Mays Business School's Development Council and is a board member of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston and Houston Museum of Natural Science.
Solcher received a Bachelor of Administration degree from Texas A&M University.
Patrick K. Tagtow Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Patrick Tagtow serves as BMC's general counsel and corporate secretary. In addition, Tagtow's responsibilities include that of chief compliance officer. Tagtow served as interim general counsel of BMC Software from May 2011 until he was appointed to his current position in November 2011.
Prior to being named general counsel, Tagtow served as BMC's vice president of litigation and compliance with responsibility over global litigation management, legal and regulatory enterprise risk management and BMC's compliance and ethics program. Tagtow joined BMC in 1999 from the law firm of Haynes and Boone, L.L.P. where he practiced commercial and employment litigation.
Tagtow received a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as a master's of business administration and doctorate of jurisprudence from the University of Houston. He has been practicing law since 1993.
